Alder Handcrafted was officially founded in 2018, though the journey began much earlier as a personal hobby in 2015. The brand itself first took shape in 2017 as part of a university final project, where a simple exploration of craftsmanship gradually evolved into a deeper dedication toward leather goods making.
Among many materials, leather became the medium that felt the most meaningful. not only because of its beauty and versatility, but also because of the rich history and character it carries. From its distinctive aroma to the way it can be carefully shaped and crafted entirely by hand, leather offered a unique connection between maker, material, and user.

The name “Alder” carries several meanings that reflect the philosophy of the brand. Inspired by the idea of aging, it represents how leather naturally matures over time, developing patina and character through years of use alongside its owner.
